Message from the Chairman
Corporate citizenship is and always has been an important value at Subaru. We are dedicated to support and improve the communities in which we live and work. This responsibility is of great importance to Subaru and we approach our community investments with the same drive and energy as we do other core business functions.
Subaru employees are an integral part of our philanthropic strategy. Our employees provide much-needed volunteer assistance to a variety of community-based organizations. In fact, over the past two years, our employees donated more than 3,000 volunteer hours. Employee volunteerism is an important part of our commitment to the community and we provide not only release time during the week day, but support individual monetary contributions through the Subaru of America Foundation (SOAF) matching gift program.
Like Subaru products, we bring innovation and a creative spirit to building community partnerships with organizations who share our drive and passion. Only through these partnerships can we impact positive change and lay the foundation for better communities for generations to come.
